How we polish concrete…

Concrete News

The process of polishing concrete tables is similar to sanding wood. Sanding machines equipped with diamond-impregnated disks are used to gradually grind down the surface to the desired level of smoothness and shine. Coarse diamond segments are used to remove minor imperfections and prepare the surface for final smoothing, while progressively finer grits of polishing disks are used to achieve the desired level of shine.

Polished concrete tables have a shiny, reflective finish and offer a wide range of design options. You can choose different colours, create patterns with saw cuts, or add interesting objects to the concrete before polishing. The level of reflectivity can also be controlled by adjusting the level of polishing. Our tables are popular in both commercial and residential settings because they are easy to maintain, hardwearing and beautiful, requiring only dusting and occasional cleaning.

Wet and dry methods can be used to polish concrete tables, with dry polishing being the most commonly used due to its speed.

To polish a concrete table, we use progressively finer grits of diamond abrasives to grind the surface to the desired level of shine. Finally, we apply a chemical stain guard to protect the porous element of the table and help it stand up to the rigours of family life.
